In About Filming
Hi folks Last season. My first season filming polo was a season of testing and fine tuning filming techniques and find out the best way to showcase your games. It would be nice to stick around after the last game and socialize more but as I still have about 6 hours of work to do to get your games up and posted on the same day it's not always possible. An average day of filming editing and uploading is around 14 hrs. I did receive reasonable support from the polo community in the first season but so far it is still a labour of love for me, working for minimum wage just wont cut it if I want to continue filming but we will see what the 22-23 season brings. Signing up on a plan is the best way to show your support. About Filming My position around the field is ultimately determined by the weather as I cannot get the gear wet. If it is fine I position myself where I can pick up commentary. Ideally some elevation is best but every field has its limitations and having commentary takes preference over elevation. Even just the back of a ute would be ok for places like Ryburn and Fisher. Hololio has provided a truck that can be used. I am looking at other ways to link directly into commentary to eliminate crowd chatter close to me and will keep you posted about that.
